- Lagos Garden Stories - 🌵

The first perception of Lagos is a disorganised expanse of concrete; beautiful private gardens are well hidden by tall fences and can be discovered occasionally as unexpected surprises. In a city where each handkerchief of empty land is speeding towards the new location for a block of flats or a new office building, we aspire for some green.

A large number of garden lovers, green-thumbed, flower addicts in Lagos are silently exchanging their secrets and passion for flowers and plants…(contact us and we can inform you when informal visits to private gardens are organised!)

Around Lagos you can find such an inexhaustible variety of plants and pots of all sizes, colours and materials, fertile black soil and organic manure; no excuses, a balcony can be your little green oasis! You will be surprised at how fast everything is growing under the tropics. The climate here is a paradise for palms, orchids, succulents…a herbal garden is also a good option: basil, mint, and chili are growing with joy, more difficult (keep trying) are rosemary, and forget about sage, it is just impossible.
